Witchverse is a grim, shadow-drenched world steeped in fear, superstition, and hidden power. Set in a low-fantasy analogue of the early 1700s, society teeters on the edge of enlightenment while clinging to medieval beliefs. The land is dark and untamed – forests whisper secrets, villages burn witches, and travelers vanish in the fog.

Witches are real. So are the hunters. Blood rituals, cursed relics, ancestral spirits, and whispered incantations lie just beneath the surface of daily life. Magic is dangerous and corrupting, but also powerful – some seek it, some fear it, and others are bound to it by blood or by curse.

Zealous purifiers – witchhunters and inquisitors – roam the land, wielding steel and faith to root out anything unnatural. Witches weave spells in secret groves and shadowed crypts. The accursed walk among the living, their monstrous urges barely restrained. In this world, power is never pure – and morality is as murky as the fog-choked moors.

The supernatural is not rare, only hidden. Vampires manipulate from the shadows, thirsting for blood and control. Werewolves prowl the wilds, torn between instinct and loyalty. Both are cursed, feared, and hunted – yet not all are villains, and not all who hunt them are just.

Technology remains primitive – flintlocks, carriages, quills, and cobblestones – and the air is thick with suspicion. This is no world of grand empires, but of fractured provinces, forgotten oaths, and secret wars. Everything has a cost – your blood, your soul, your name.

Witchverse is a setting of moral ambiguity, occult power, and creeping dread. Here, every whispered secret might be a spell, every ally a traitor, and every curse a key to forbidden power.
